The hood itself is good. However the light bulbs keep falling out. Have to have a special tool or glove so the lights stay in their individual socket!!

I have no idea why GE or any other company would create a stove hood that could be either vented, or "re-circulating". This hood is supposed to be vented and has been set up to be vented. That being said, it recirculates with amazing vigor! The builder installed this hood, probably due to the inexpensive price (cheapness) of the appliance.

We are enjoying our new GE range hood. The dual halogen lights are great and I love that there is a bright and dim setting. It has a lot of power and a large fan. It's a little loud, but so was our last one. This hood functions very well.

Just installed new hood. Remove and install, easy connections with clear instructions. Love the profile of the hood and quietness of the fan. Also love the TWO lights on it which really lights up the stove and both sides of the work area.

I just love this range hood. It is very nice looking. Very well built and the fan settings could not be more perfect. I like that you have different speeds and each one is a different button for each speed which is really nice. My biggest love of this range hood is the lights. They are so beautiful. I use the higher strength light while cooking dinner and then for the evening turn it to the lower brightness which is so pretty shining on top of the stove and the counter tops. I personally would highly recommend this range hood!

This ductless range hood has all the features we were looking for; style, color and performance. It works very efficiently with only two minor things to consider. The bulbs let out a lot of heat so just be careful to stay away from them when they are on. Also, while not too much of an issue, it would be better if the vent forced out more forward then out up because the condensation does hit the upper cabinets.

This GE range was installed yesterday, 1/11/2021. Installer was showing features and tried to remove light bulbs. After about 20 minutes of trying he was not able to remove them, nor was I. Plan to have Lowe's un-install it and buy a different brand, any brand except GE.

This is on the cheaper side of quality. The thin metal bows in the middle, and is not a high quality appliance. Luckily it doesn't get a lot of use or abuse. The push button features are nice. It's a bit loud on the medium/high settings. I'm surprised in this day an age the lighting, which I do like the HI/LO settings, is halogen instead of LED. It's hot enough cooking on the stove without halogen lighting adding even more heat to the equation.

I think GE didn't consider how the GU10 would be replaced when they engineered this hood. The lights are difficult to remove and nearly impossible to reinstall.

Easy to install other than the fact that the rear vent opening did not completely line up with the vent hole in our house from our previous hood. We were able to modify it to make it work. It's been up for 3 weeks and so far we like it.

This range hood is very noisy. It does not vent well enough to remove cooking odors. Instead, I must open windows and turn on my HVAC fan to remove odors. The halogen lights get dangerously too hot; so, we replaced them with LED lights. Be very careful. The light socket is rather flimsy and the bulb may fall onto your cook surface leaving shards of glass on the cooktop and countertops. This product came with a new home I purchased this year.

Great once you get the bugs worked out. Installation was simple enough but after turning it on the first time the fan was making a horrible noise. Had to take it back down to figure out the problem - the squirrel-cage fan was rubbing on the motor mount bracket above it. The fan is held on the motor shaft with concentric friction clamp, and if the nut isn't tightened enough the fan can slide up the shaft - and hit the motor mount. Simple solution is loosen the nut and slide the fan a very small amount down the shaft so it no longer rubs, and tighten the nut back down. Unfortunately this is not mentioned in the troubleshooting guide, which it absolutely should be since it is common in the reviews.
Happy with it now that I've fixed it.

Love the look, feel and operation of the range hood. But description and manual touted a 10-minute install. It took that long just to open the package and peel off the protective plastic films. It is difficult on a replacement to hold the hood in place and mark the new hole locations (why make it different than prior Profile-class products ?). Two machine screws to attach the rectangular exhaust port adapter feed right into the body of the fan housing (bad placement). The unit was shorter than my old Profile range hood, so it left an inch of old wall exposed under it. Instructions were confusing about installing the baffle for exterior exhaust. Once I finally had an experienced installer take over, it ended well. Very pleased with the unit once installed. Slight dent in the top of the unit, but not noticeable once installed. Low fan speed is pretty quiet, but other settings get very noisy.
